We’ve got our first AGM scheduled for 7:30 pm Tuesday 11 January – in the Scouts Hut. Now that we are working with the Council and other organisations – we need to have a rule book and formally elect a committee and we’ll be doing this at the AGM. We will send out more info including a draft of the constitution and group policies before Christmas.
After the meeting – there will be a chance for a catch-up and a New Year drink!
1. PCG Constitution
Approving the Constitution – the Group’s rule book (see pages 2-5).
2. Election of Group Officers and Committee
We need to elect the Officers: a Chair, a Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
We need to elect an Executive Committee to manage the Group’s affairs. The Officers are automatically members of the Committee – we can elect up to eight other people to join them on the Committee.
As legal requirements we also need to appoint: a Responsible Person under the GDPR, a Safety Officer, a Child Safeguarding Officer, and a Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding Officer.
3. Membership Fee
The Committee can set an annual membership fee – a chance to discuss whether we should have one and, if so, what it should be.
