Kett’s Cave Litter Pick
Volunteers Needed
Calling all people of Pockthorpe…
Kett’s Cave Community Litter Pick
29th January 2022
10am start
Come and help:
We would love to see some new faces joining our usual team to help clear the area. We’ll be there for a while so if you can’t make the start time, just join us when you can!
What you will need:
A big part of the aim for 29th is to expose the fences ready for removal so there will be lots of brambles to clear. When you’re getting ready we’d suggest checking the weather and ask that you come prepared with:
A water bottle (it can be thirsty work)
Thick gardening gloves
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots
We recommend wearing layers!
Optional:
A litter picker – we have plenty available to borrow if you don’t have one
Any garden hoes and clippers you can bring will be a huge help!
Where to find us:
We’ll be the ones picking litter all around Kett’s Cave park, just come and say hello and someone will be able to get you started!
Safety precautions:
Please be mindful of yours and others safety while litter picking. If you are unsure of what you should do at any point please just ask someone, we’re happy to help! All children must be supervised by an adult and at all times please ensure you:
Avoiding lifting heavy items
Remain conscious of hazards in your environment – such as eye-level branches, trip hazards and broken glass
Never touch any sharps – instead report these to the council by phoning 0344 980 3333
Please email with any questions and by all means, let us know if you’re planning to come along. Look forward to meeting you!
